Overview
The SASBU Commercial department provides guidance to Base Business Operations, Asset Development, NOJV, ALNG to implement Commercial agreements and optimize value in Commercial transactions.
We are leading SASBU Key Initiatives, such as:
- Block 0 extension.
- Block 33/34 seismic study.
- NGC – New Gas Consortium.
- Lead all commercial negotiations with other IOCs and governmental entities.
- Identity and pursue new opportunities and ways to improve business performance, including the opportunity to enter in new blocks.
The scope include:
- Drive Commercial strategy implementation, negotiations and approvals.
- Develop and implement consistent Commercial processes and best practices and share lessons learned.
- Establish, maintain, and improve the Commercial performance of the assets in support of key customers: MD, GMAD, GMO, GM NOA and GM ALNG OPCO.
- Interact with other parts of the value chain across Chevron (CST, LSAT, GST etc.).
- Engage with external partners and local government to secure approvals on a timely manner.
- Governance from managing our interest in LNG companies.
- Lead SASBU Value chain optimization project
- Conduct various Commercial studies such as:
- Angolan Market analysis for "Gas off-take".
- Sale of domestic gas study.
- Power generation for Angola study.
- Perform Competitor analysis to identify new blocks opportunities (bidding process participation/ New licensing).
Commercial function enable strategies critical to success of the business such as:
- Block 0 bundle.
- Block 14 TL re-demarcation.
- VCO – Value Chain Optimization.
- Negotiation and Implementation of the Presidential Decree for:
- Marginal Fields.
- Exploration.
- Gas.
- Public Bidding.
- Abandonment.
- Negotiation and implementation of several Commercial agreements, such as agreements for the NGC – New Gas Consortium, and ALNG.
