Angola LNG Project

Angola LNG is a project among Sonangol (22.8%), Chevron (CABGOC) (36.4%), BP (13.6%), Eni (13.6%) and Total (13.6%) to gather and process gas, and to produce and deliver 5.2 million tons of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) per year to the global market.

LNG Project Scope

  • 5.2 MMTPA LNG train (ConocoPhillips Cascade LNG technology)
  • Delivery of up to 125 MMSCFD of domestic gas
  • LNG and LPG loading and storage facilities
Pipeline Network Scope
  • Nearshore / Onshore Pipeline
  • CRX Pipeline (Block 0/14 Operated). Managed as a separate asset.
Feed Gas Supply
  • Existing gas supply from Associated Gas – unique to ALNG projects (dedicated from Blocks 0/14, 15, 17, 18, 31, 32)
  • Future gas supply:
    • will continue from existing blocks (primarily Block 0/14 blowdown);
    • anticipated purchase of additional feed gas from identified dedicated non-associated gas fields ("NAG"); and
    • potential purchase from other third party suppliers.
  • Future gas purchase is linked to successful engagement with Angolan Government on fiscal terms.
Social Projects
  • Roads, Power, Hospital, School and Airport improvements
Marketing and Sales
  • ALNG jointly sells and delivers LNG to international markets, utilizing a dedicated fleet of 7 LNG Carriers
  • Liquids (Propane, Butane, Condensate) sold to equity buyers under long term contracts
  • Delivery of natural gas to Sonagas in Soyo for local use, currently power generation (domestic gas)
