AD Strategy
The Strategy Team is responsible for developing, documenting and maintaining an Integrated Asset Development Strategy. This Strategy provides clear long term direction, and identifies the short to medium term actions which will deliver SASBU's business objectives. The Strategy Team interfaces across all functions to mature and transition base business, de-risking and new development opportunities. The Strategy Team also provides the necessary guidance/support to inform business opportunities, assess critical constraints and develop mitigations/solutions.
Discovery Factory
Endorsed strategic opportunities are defined using factory playbooks to enable efficient progression from early concepts to developable projects by the Early Concept Team, New Development Team, or Asset Teams. The Strategy Team also leverages the Discovery Factory to integrate exploration and appraisal opportunities to improve development plan outcomes and expedite R2R2P. The team provides an interface with the ARM Team/P&O regarding prioritization of reservoir characterization activities. The quality of opportunities in the Discovery Factory will be assured and maintained to enable robust development screening and sequencing/prioritization using the scheduler/GAP/DA workflow.
Stakeholder Alignment
The Strategy Team provides key context/information to support internal and external stakeholder management and enable delivery of SASBU strategic objectives and activities. Guidance is provided to align on priorities within SASBU, as well as necessary support to longer term, higher level negotiations.
Business Improvement Opportunities
The Strategy Team enables SASBU business process improvements, for example
- Identifying opportunities to increase future gas and/or expansion of gas export infrastructure.
- Exploring the potential for power generation alternatives.
- Developing Sanha FPSO optimization alternatives working with FE/OPS/Optimize Teams
- Ensuring alignment and integration of SASBU AR, AI and Operating plans to the AD Strategy
- Identifying and leveraging synergies with other Block developments in Angola
