CABGOC Educational Assistance Program​

The CABGOC Educational assistance program provides reimbursement for employees who undertake undergraduate or post-graduate studies at any tertiary institution (local, International, distance mode) in a field of study recognized as beneficial to the petroleum industry. Company reimburses 100% of your academic costs on an annual basis upon successful completion of an academic Year.

CABGOC Employee Scholarship program

The employee Scholarship program provides full-time scholarships to employees to undertake undergraduate or post-graduate studies at a university in a field of study recognized as beneficial to the petroleum industry. The program funds 100% of the employees' academic costs while the employees remain on the payroll as an active employee.

COCL Scholarship and Educational Assistance Program

The COCL Scholarship and Educational Assistance programs are designed to strengthen the capacity of the local workforce by providing full-time scholarships and relevant educational opportunities to Angolan nationals at recognized local and international tertiary institutions in the fields of studies beneficial to the petroleum industry. This objective is aligned with Chevron Major Business Strategies as well as in alignment with the ROC Oil industry Collaborative Bargaining Agreement requirements. The program offers two opportunities of further education as follows: Educational Assistance Program, COCL Employee Scholarship Program.

COCL Employee Scholarship program

The Employee Scholarship Program provides full-time scholarships to employees to undertake undergraduate or post-graduate studies at a university in a field of study recognized as beneficial to the petroleum industry. Such fields of study will include - but will not necessarily be limited to - petroleum, civil, chemical or mechanical engineering, geology, physics, petroleum economics or accounting. The program funds 100% of the employees' academic costs while the employee remains on the payroll as an active employee. To qualify, employees will be nominated by their respective department's Manager and must validated by the COCL HRMC Scholarship Committee Membership team. If abroad they must meet the academic requirements for an international university (i.e., must possess acceptable high school or equivalent diplomas, satisfy the English language proficiency requirement). If selected for the scholarship program, employees are required to maintain an academic standard equivalent to 3.0 GPA or (Average of 15/20 in a point system or 80/100 passing grade) throughout the program and behavior must be consistent with Chevron Way Values and We Lead behavior expectations.

COCL Educational Assistance Program

The COCL Educational Assistance program provides reimbursement for employees who undertake undergraduate or post-graduate studies at any tertiary institution (local, international, distance mode) in a field of study recognized as beneficial to the petroleum industry. Employee must be on active payroll and have completed at least three years of COCL employment and must obtain local management (HRMC) approval before applying and must ensure that courses will contribute to the employee's effectiveness on the job or overall, in the company. COCL may provide educational assistance with reimbursement of up to 100% of eligible academic costs (Tuitions, textbooks, lab fees and registration fees) after satisfactory completion of pre-approved courses at an accredited institution upon successful completion and proof of payment.
