Workers compensation is a type of insurance that provides compensation and medical benefits to employees who are injured at work or who develop a job-related illness as a result of their job. It also provides benefits to your dependents (eligible dependents are defined as a spouse, son, daughter or adopted dependent, with valid documentation and registration with the CABGOC HR department) if you die as the result of a job-related injury.

The insurance guarantees the following coverage:
Death
Permanent Incapacity
Absolute Temporary Incapacity
Partial Temporary Incapacity
Medical, Pharmaceutical and Hospital Care and Repatriation
Funeral Expenses
Claims
Immediate notification to employee’s supervisor on incident occurred.
Contact the Medical department for medical assistance if needed.
Human Resources notifies the insurance company within 72 hours and submits the claim form to the insurance. In case of non-compliance, benefit may be forfeited.
Workers’ Compensation claims are managed in conjunction with your Supervisor, Health, Environment & Safety (HES), Human Resources and the Medical department.
CABGOC allow employees to open a bank account in Standard Chartered Bank in Angola and receive a debit card in order to meet applicable payment obligations outside of Angola including but not limited to school fees, mortgages, and living expenses. Refer to Employee debit card policy for more information.
eligibility
All CABGOC Angolan payroll employees, working in Angola, under a permanent employment contract.
how to apply
- Send an email to CABGOC-SCB Costumer support to express of interest
- Gather all required documentation and visit the SCB in Angola for verification visit.
- Once your SCB account is open, submit your bank account details in the Bank Information Update Request eForm - Power Apps.
- Subscribe to the program via SASBU Employee Debit Card Program eForm - Power Apps
Contributions
- Employees can choose to discount from 5% up to 40% of their monthly base salary to the debit card.
- You can change the percentage amount of your contributions every quarter (January, April, July and October). The cut-off date for submission is every 10th of the said months. For changes to your contributions please submit your request in SASBU Employee Debit Card Program eForm - Power Apps
