Code of Conduct for CABGOC's Malongo Terminal

The following statements outline attributes and qualities that represent Malongo Terminal and its employees.

  • Our number one priority is to perform our business in a safe manner following all safety guidelines and operating procedures.
  • We do not short cuts on following safety precautions or operating procedures.
  • All terminal employees are responsible for making sure that all other people working in the terminal follow all safety guidelines and good work practices. Unsafe conditions, acts, and behaviors are corrected immediately.
  • Each employee is responsible for communicating safety hazards to the appropriate foreman, who is then responsible for resolving the issue.
  • Open and honest communication must be encouraged by all. Employees report all emergencies, near misses, and incidents immediately to their supervisors.
  • All employees report to work prepared to work safely and productively.
  • Employees work as scheduled and stay in their work areas unless authorized to leave.
  • Hard hats, safety shoes and adequate clothing are worn at all times in the work areas. Safety glasses and hearing protection are used where required. Coveralls are worn if supplied.
  • All employees are responsible for the housekeeping of their areas. They are responsible for picking up trash and debris or for requesting help to have materials removed.
  • Experienced employees are responsible for training new employees. This is critical for the future success of the terminal and its employees .
  • We operate as a committed team. We trust, respect and support each other at all times.
  • We cooperate with all other CABGOC departments and organizations to help them accomplish their work.
  • We strive to maintain facility operations to deliver quality products to our customers and clean water to the ocean.
